Safest Pre-Release for using "video from background projects"

So I've poked around with new features on pre-releases from time to time, but have never USED a pre-release on an actual project. I have a big project coming up that having video from a main project would be a HUGE help for, but I'm a little nervous about using a Pre-Release on an important project. Is there a particular Pre-Release that's well texted and should not give me any problems, assuming I stay away from features such as fixed lanes that are still changing day to day? Anything I should know about when importing my configuration into a Pre Release Build? Or, perhaps Background Projects Video will be ready for a Main Release soon? Any advice from folks more experience with pre-releases would be most welcome! Thanks all!

Never assume anything with experimental feature builds. That being said, if you do use it, please do let the devs know sooner rather than later should you find any issues.

Disclaimer: pre-release builds are by their nature experimental and so use at your own risk Having said that, I've been using the pre-release builds on scoring projects recently for this exact reason and nothing major has gone wrong. I would absolutely recommend using portable installs for this - it makes backing up your entire Reaper install super easy (literally just save old backups wherever suits and switch back as and when you need) Edit: yes, I would definitely stay away from features like fixed lanes that are changing a lot

So good to know that someone else is using this without major problems. I know that nobody can guarantee that nothing will go wrong, but this is helpful in gauging if the risk is worth it.
