Uncomfortable Seats

My wife wants to know if its possible to adjust the angle of the base of the front passenger seat. It is slanted back at such an angle that after a while her legs start to go numb and therefore she cant sit with her legs out straight. I think its something to with the anti-submarine effect but shorly you must be able to adjust it, as you can the drivers seat. (V40 1.8 XS estate)

Hi, All the Volvo seats I have experienced (240, 740, 940 (you see a pattern emerging here??!!) and V90) have height adjustable seats. The height adjustment is for the back and front so the angle of the seat should be variable.. Should ne a lever on the inside of the seat to allow this.. Have a look JIC.. Des. . . ;)

yep same with me as iamawookie not possible to adjust the angle of the passenger seat only drivers although yours doesnt sound like its at the right angle is there any chance of a pic?

Can you not pack out the back of the runners with some till its level?

There is always the option of getting a subframe and or seat complete from a left hand drive vehicle.The left-hand side seat,(in this case,drivers seat),should have all the necessary adjustments.Try specialist volvo breakers,or,if you visit the continent often,then visit a local scrapyard. Thanks for all your suggestions, i'll take a closer look to see if i can pack it out with some washers as there's definitely no adjustment. I'll also keep an eye out for another seat.....good idea ! cheers,
